Yuna Davtyan is one of the top "All Star" division dancers in the Northeast.  I know, because I've danced with her.  She has risen through the ranks during the last decade to be one of top firecrackers in the West Coast Swing circuit.

Saturday's workshops will begin with Yuna's special "Spins & Drills" workshop to keep everyone sharp in one of dance's most coveted movements.  Her second and third workshops will focus on intermediate footwork and movement which will be challenging (yet attainable) for all West Coast Swing dancers.  Yuna's final workshop will be a "Crash Course" for all newcomers and anyone who wants to downshift to upgrade their basics (which is recommended by all serious professionals).

The evening will conclude with a great West Coast Swing mix dance....Yuna's favorite tunes will be played...so come out and party!

Spins & Drills for West Coast Swing
Level: All Levels

Time to work on some of your spins and turns from one of the top level dancers in the country.  Yuna will give you some tips, tricks and drills to up your "game".  This is both for leader and follower and will give you the reinforcement you need to keep improving your dancing.  It will also be a good warm up for the day's workshops.

Requirements: Participants must have working knowledge of their WCSwing basics .

Yuna-Baby's Favorite Moves
Level: Intermediate

Yuna (sometimes known as Yuna-Babe or Yuna-Baby) is incredible person to dance with.  You can begin a move and trust that she will she will complete the thought.  This class will explore some of the moves that Yuna loves the best...and if she loves them so will you.  Chances are her favorite moves will probably make you look good too.

West Coast Swing Crash Course
Level: Basic / Beginner

This is a basic class introducing the fundamentals of West Coast Swing and some of the basic patterns and theory of movement.  You will moves such as the Sugar Push, the Right & Left Side Pass, and the Basic & Progressive Tuck.

It is perfect for the "day one" beginner and designed to have you dancing the very same night.

She learned ballet as a little girl in Russia and honed her ballroom skills as a young woman in the United States. She discovered West Coast Swing seven years ago and threw herself into an intense time of learning and training under the best pros. She worked her way from Newcomer through Advanced to AllStar, not allowing herself any shortcuts or advantages, and has been placing as an All Star finalist ever since. These days, Yuna is greatly sought after on the westie social floor, as a Jack & Jill and Strictly Swing partner and as a national Rising Star competitor. For the last five years, she has been a top pro teaching assistant, developing an intuitive eye and excellent diagnostic skills. More recently, she has discovered her own role of discerning coach and popular teacher. Her teaching manner is easy and fun...she'll tell you like it is, but in an encouraging and supportive way. She is a delight to learn from, caring and committed to her students. Bottom line, she gets results!
