Hustle with Attitude
Level: Intermediate
Guest Instructor: Steve Neeren
Hustle was always designed to be
a flashy and dynamic dance....but what good is that if you don't
have the "attitude". Hustle was born in the night clubs of
New York and other metropolitan cities. It's time to add
enough attitude so everyone knows that you mean business on the
dance floor.
* Requirements:
You must have a working knowledge of Hustle and understand names
and counts of the basic steps.

of the instructor.

West Coast Swing - Moves that
Groove
Level: Intermediate
Guest Instructor: Steve Neeren
West Coast Swing has great range
of style. One moment can be funky, the next can be groovy.
Groovy West Coast Swing allows the leader to create structure
while the follower embellishes. It's the groovy side of
WCSwing that makes people fall in love with late night dancing.
* Requirements: You
must know your WCS basics and be able to sustain a social dance.

Who are
Erik Novoa & Anna Brady: |
|
Erik
Novoa has been dancing for 20 years, starting
with ballet and continuing through jazz, modern
dance, musical theatre, tap and, finally in
1998, west coast swing. In the years following,
he soared through the rankings and has been a
top-10 finalist in the US Open three times. Two
year after starting West Coast Swing, he also
won the national championships for Hustle. He
is currently one of the major torches of both
dances in the Northeast and in 2006 received the
"Best of the Gold Coast" award for Best Way to
Get in Step. Erik has an inspiring dance style
and an infamous teaching ability which you won't
want to miss.
Originally from
Minneapolis, Minnesota, Anna Brady combines the
discipline of classical ballet
with the
creativity of partner dancing. She trained and
performed in both classical and
modern styles and also competed in ballroom/latin
dance while at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. Anna has recently performed
with Erik Novoa in contemporary ballet pieces
"Ordinary Day" (Choreographed by Erik & Anna)
and "The Player" (Choreographed by Anna). She
is known throughout the northeast for her
"Spins, Turns & Technique" classes for partner
dancing.
